Hydrometallurgical recycling of lithium-titanate anode batteries: Leaching kinetics and mechanisms…
LTO anode of spent Li-ion batteries was efficiently leached in H 2 SO 4 + H 2 O 2 solution. Leaching in 3.5 mol/L H 2 SO 4, 25% H 2 O 2 at 120 C for 2 h yielded 92% Ti and 98% Li. The progress of leaching was governed by the logarithmic rate law. • Ea (Ti) 78.9 kJ/mol and Ea (Li) 11.3 kJ/mol indicated separate leaching mechanism of metals.
